‘June 16th’ is Dinning’s latest release, and this can be listened to on all streaming platforms now.  Dinning opened up to me about the backstory surrounding this single, it is obvious that emotion is at the centre of the lyrics, but the story reinforces that as an artist Dinning is not afraid to let himself be vulnerable. Sadly, Dinning lost his father when he was just 18 years of age and 2 weeks after Father’s Day, now making the occasion quite burdensome for him. Dinning mentioned “I vividly remember getting my dad a card for the father’s days before he passed and giving it to him, but having forgotten to write it out, so, he told me to give it to him next year, which never came”. For this reason, ‘June 16th’ was released because as Dinning describes “grief isn’t linear whatsoever, and this occasion still rules my life in so many ways”. Like many, Dinning has experienced grief, yet he manages toexpress this in a musical format, which is an audacious and admirable skill to have as an artist as it allows listeners to connect with your music on a deeper level.
